I do a ton of article writing. The way I generate money with this is I set up blogs with about 5 to 10 pages of content. Then I write articles that are similar in theme and publish them at ezinearticles, goarticles, and hubpages with links back to my website. One link goes to the top level domain name and the other goes to the specific page of content that the article relates to.

I just rinse and repeat doing this over and over and over again until I start to get some traffic to my websites. Soon, say two months into it, people start clicking on ads and buying affiliate products. It takes time and patience, but if you get into a routine and you write about things you are familiar or expert with, then you should be able to just do it, like Nike.

Success in making money online is a function of how hard you're willing to work. If you work hard and smart, you'll make a lot of money. If you don't want to work hard, you won't make any money.

Thanks for the recommendation. Since you asked, Associated Content pays both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens to publish on the site. The difference is that U.S. citizens qualify for upfront payment for their content (The $4-$12 that you mentioned) and non-citizens can collect performance payments on all of their published content aren't able to be paid upfront.
That said, come back and publish some more on AC! There are writers earning $800 a month in performance payments alone on the site and that opportunity is available to absolutely anyone who is willing to work for it.
Stop by the AC Blog sometime, too. There's always something going on there.
