		<description>I actually make a living from my blogs, and I never even got into social media (I&#039;m just now starting to comment on other people&#039;s blogs and Twitter and the like to promote my short stories).  I did it all with article marketing and working the SEO angle.

I do think social media can be a great tool, though.  It&#039;s helpful to have a plan (pick a couple services to dominate rather than trying to spatter yourself around) and stick with it.  There are a lot of flashes in the pan out there; a lot of people win the game just because they stick around and put out decent content consistently.</description>
