Let me start by saying the following. When I talk about online business, I am talking (or writing as the case is at the present) about anything that you do online that has to do with either earning money or building your personal brand and communicating your message.

Maybe you have a blog with Adsense ads or affiliate links on it. Maybe you are selling your own e-book about kitchen decorating. Or maybe you produce videos and monetize through a partnership with Youtube and Revver.

What I mean to say is that online business can be anything. There are many variations and ways to make money online. One thing that is consistent, however, is the fact that having true passion for what you are selling will make your job 100 times easier.

Most people do not love their jobs. That’s a fact. They may like their job, but they most likely do not love it. When you go into business for yourself or start a small online business on the side for some extra dough, you have the chance to do something you are very interested in–something you love.

My question to you is, why don’t you do something in a field in which you are interested instead of doing something that you think will be profitable? Instead of starting something real estate or investment related, start a business around a hobby of yours. The means to monetize the site will become evident as you move forward and the truth is you will get much further–you will be able to summon that extra little bit of effort, that passion–that you will give you the competitive edge.

Passion makes it soooo much easier.
